My apologies for not being more social at the shindig at Piotr's. I blame illness, and the fact that I was dragged away from my precious Law & Order marathon. Still, thank you for being such a gracious host, Piotr, and as much as I enjoy being a hermit once in a while, I think getting out and at least people-watching did me some good. Even if I didn't have a drop to drink.

Happy new year, ladies and gentlemen. Let's all make the best of it, 'ay?
