I am not going to comment to the previous post in this community. This is after all, first and foremost, your forum in which to interact, vent, and all that entails. It is also why I tend to not comment here all that much, in case anyone wondered.
Nor, since some have apparently worried about this, do I run to anyone with what is written here, to babble away what I do read here.
I would like to remind you of the following, however.
1) The younger students still have access to this community. As such, swearing and all that jazz is still viewable by them here as well. Do remember that. We ask that you keep a fairly civil language in your regular journals for that reason - it extends to this community as well. Clarice, I do apologize if I hadn't thought to let you know of this when you arrived, by the way. My bad. So please keep this in mind in future postings, all of you. It would be greatly appreciated.
2) Witch hunts are an unpleasant thing. We of all people know how that feels. Perhaps we might consider our actions and words carefully, before starting out on one ourselves. Food for thought. Give it a try. Personally, I'm not very fond of the burning at the stake principle. Been there, got toasted some. Not much with the fun.
3) And this one is strictly personal on my part. There is no us vs. you, between the teaching staff and students. It would be nice if the lot of you (and I'm keeping this general, because really, I don't feel like pointing fingers here and being juvenile) could try to keep that in mind. We're here to help you with your powers, and teach you your mundane, boring, regular classes just like a lot of other kids get to learn. Because there is life after the mansion, after all.
4) The quality inherent to Freedom of Speech, is that it must be applied to all.
Now. Regarding Mr Marko's post - the Professor is aware of happenings and will be addressing the issue shortly, as it should be dealt with.
Have a good evening.
Thank you,
Alison

Re: He's a jerk.
Date: 2004-01-06 12:19 am (UTC)Yes, suggested violence can be a miscommunication. But in this case, I do not believe so. His words were: "Anyone who's got a problem or would like to show off and pretend to be a badass and get mouthy, you can find me." Given the context of the post, not to mention his reputation as a downright jerk, it is obvious that he meant that as a threat to anyone who disagreed with him and attempted to speak with him.
And for you information, I never threatened to use my powers against anyone, unless they searched me out and bothered me, which is no less than some of the other students have said at times. So go waste your time bitching to them, and leave me alone.
I may be rude, I may be antagonistic, but I am not a hypocrite, ama.
Re: He's a jerk.
Date: 2004-01-06 12:30 am (UTC)Although, given my nightmares, perhaps I should just do so anyway.
You have not threatned to use your powers unless someone sought you out. Mister Marko just told anyone who disagreed to seek him out, with no direct threat. How is what he said WORSE than what you said you would do? You believe he suggested violence, yet, given how direct he has been, I would think he would say so, espically after stating other direct threats in the past.
You are rude, you are antagonistic, and you are a hypocrite who holds others to a code you yourself do not follow, encule.

Date: 2004-01-06 12:45 am (UTC)Yes, there was a direct threat. And how are we supposed to feel comfortable around authority figures if we cannot openly disagree and challenge their rulings without feeling as if we are not safe if we do so? That is what I believe Marko did. His rude, nasty wording made it loud and clear that approaching him with objections, however calmly, would result in nothing but a broken face.
Do you honestly believe he would bluntly threat people on a open forum where everyone can see? No, he would be more subtle about it so baka like you waste everyone's time starting debates with others over his true intentions.
I have two words for you. Urusai, busu.
Re: He's a jerk.
Date: 2004-01-06 01:24 am (UTC)*yawn* Shiro, you do know that I get Doug to translate most of your silly little vulgarities, yes?
The ones I just don't look up on the internet, that is. If you want to continue to play games with insults that impress no one, go ahead. I have heard worse. French far outweighs many languages in that realm.
If you want to consider it a direct threat, be my guest. The man is not an authority figure, and while he does bother me, as Jamie said, that could be insomnia induced paranoia.
I think you just hate him because he is American, although I suppose it would be more accurate to state that you hate him because he is not Japanese.
