I just had a thought. You know how we were talking about doing something for Mr. Summers?

Well, the amusement park's still open. And, you know, there's a lot to learn about the engineering that goes into roller coasters. It's a really great opportunity, and they close pretty soon so it won't be around for much longer. I think we need to strike while the iron's hot.

And I think I can convince the Professor to secretly rewrite Mr. Summers's lesson plans to include a field trip.

How's next Friday sound? :)

Next Friday sounds perfect, since I've got a physics lab I can either do in advance or talk Dr. McCoy into letting me blow off.

Hell, I can probably talk him into coming along to join in the 'reasearch'.

No, it's important we do this soon, before he implodes or something, and I've still got two weeks, more or less. Besides, the parks might close by then and we've wasted the chance.

Want me to see if I can sell the Prof on a school day out? I mean, I have this mental picture, Mr. Summers goes to his classroom for our class, finds the room empty and a note on the blackboard saying come down to the garage because we're staging a coup, and there we all are in the van and we treat him to the amusement park.

And, y'know, it would add a whole other layer if just as we pull out of the driveway, the whole rest of the school caravans on behind us. :)

Absolutely. Once he gets down to the garage, though, because I want to be able to imagine his expression when he shows up to a completely empty classroom with a cryptic note on the blackboard.
