Am I imagining things, or is there something going on between Mr. Summers and Ms. Braddock?

It's just that reading between the lines, the comment thread between them on Ms. Braddock's journal here kind of sounds like there might be.

Did anyone else think so?

Well, there's certainly something going on.

I'm just not sure if it's the something you're thinking of.

Well, it does sorta look like maybe there might be something going on, yeah, I can see where you get the idea.

But I thought Kurt and Ms. Blaire were going out on a date once when they were really just having fun, so I try not to guess about stuff like that anymore. Kinda embarrassing if you're wrong.

Something Alex said a while ago made me think something might be going on, but I don't actually know and it was a while ago and I might be misremembering too.

Mwahahah! You will be taken down by the power of Thanksgiving dinner!

*catches up and bribes the info out of you with pecan pie*

See, I didn't think there were gonna be leftovers for a second there. Man oh man, though, we did good. :)

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
Well there won't be leftovers once Second Harvest gets here and picks it up. But in the meantime, I have bribing materials.

Oh, now, that's a cool idea. We just usually had turkey soup and turkey sandwiches and turkey casserole for a couple weeks at home.

Basically what you're saying is, get the pie while it's still here? :)

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
I'm not saying it but I am heavily implying it.

If you don't eat it, those less fortunate than you will. (and by less fortunate I mean those who don't have a classically trained chef to make their Thanksgiving dinner.)

Except by that definition of less fortunate, the people who get to eat it automatically become just as lucky as us. Isn't that a paradox, or something?

It is way too late at night for this to be philosophy class, y'know. :)

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
It is never too late for philosophy. We could talk about Kant too! Or moral imperatives and permutations of consequentialism. It would be fun.

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
It'd be a headache on top of my weird digestive noises, is what it would be.

Besides, I don't think you want me talking philosophy when I'm pumped full of tryptophan, it'll be all about sleep as the driving moral force of the universe.

Well, there are worse theories. We would all be a little nicer to each other if we took more naps I think.

Shiro and I are going Pocky hunting soon. We'll bring you samples. Go wild.

*cheats, shamelessly*

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
This is exactly what I'm saying. I had the best nap of my life the other day and you wouldn't believe the good mood I was in when I woke up. And almost everybody's grouchy when they haven't had enough sleep.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like the extension of the theory, though, since it goes like, since coffee is a replacement for sleep, it's a false ethical standard. Because, you know, as soon as the caffeine wears off there's the grouchy again.

Is Pocky hunting like snipe hunting?

*gives up and pouts about it*

Date: 2003-11-27 10:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
I think the extension of the theory should rather be that the lack of caffiene is a moral degenerative and not that caffiene is a false moral standard.

Date: 2003-11-27 10:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
I don't think that really follows, though. I mean, I lack caffeine right now, and you don't see me being degenerate. And isn't it when you get too much caffeine that not having any starts being a problem?

Date: 2003-11-27 10:10 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
There is no such thing as too much caffiene. *clutches her Mr. Coffee*

Date: 2003-11-27 10:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
Mr. Coffee is only leading you down the path of moral corruption, you know. Sleep is the true way.

She refuses to talk. Sorry to have failed you guys.

But maybe we should leave this speculation for a little while until Betsy is feeling better, yeah? I mean, I'm all for gossip but everything in its place, right?

No, Kitty your right. The night Lorna and I had our big fight, we broke up something that was going between Ms. Braddock and my brother. Something fishy was definatly going on...

well since Lorna seems to already have tracked down Ms. Braddock, I'm going to go look for Scott...speaking of which, has anyone seen him?

Date: 2003-11-28 09:38 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com
No, but I doubt he wants to see me these days.

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
Hey, hon? I know he's your brother and it's your sacred duty to harrass him at every opportunity but...not this one, okay? He's been through a lot recently without us making him stress about something else.

Date: 2003-11-28 10:36 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] x-havok.livejournal.com
Don't worry, I'm not going to harass him...I just want to make sure he's okay...I'm worried about him

Of course you are, I'm sorry. I guess I'm still a bit on edge.

I sort of got the impression when Scott and I shared this conversation here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/x_logs/116641.html#cutid1).

Well, I could go talk to her and cheat...but that would probably not be a good idea, what with the entire mansion being a bit touchy about applied ethics lately.

So like everyone says, probably best to let everyone calm down a bit before stirring up more trouble.

It always is touchy. Birdseed is silver bullets, did you know?
