Am I imagining things, or is there something going on between Mr. Summers and Ms. Braddock?

It's just that reading between the lines, the comment thread between them on Ms. Braddock's journal here kind of sounds like there might be.

Did anyone else think so?

Mwahahah! You will be taken down by the power of Thanksgiving dinner!

*catches up and bribes the info out of you with pecan pie*

See, I didn't think there were gonna be leftovers for a second there. Man oh man, though, we did good. :)

Well there won't be leftovers once Second Harvest gets here and picks it up. But in the meantime, I have bribing materials.

Oh, now, that's a cool idea. We just usually had turkey soup and turkey sandwiches and turkey casserole for a couple weeks at home.

Basically what you're saying is, get the pie while it's still here? :)

I'm not saying it but I am heavily implying it.

If you don't eat it, those less fortunate than you will. (and by less fortunate I mean those who don't have a classically trained chef to make their Thanksgiving dinner.)

Except by that definition of less fortunate, the people who get to eat it automatically become just as lucky as us. Isn't that a paradox, or something?

Just doing my part to make the world more confusing.

It is way too late at night for this to be philosophy class, y'know. :)

It is never too late for philosophy. We could talk about Kant too! Or moral imperatives and permutations of consequentialism. It would be fun.

It'd be a headache on top of my weird digestive noises, is what it would be.

Besides, I don't think you want me talking philosophy when I'm pumped full of tryptophan, it'll be all about sleep as the driving moral force of the universe.

Well, there are worse theories. We would all be a little nicer to each other if we took more naps I think.

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
This is exactly what I'm saying. I had the best nap of my life the other day and you wouldn't believe the good mood I was in when I woke up. And almost everybody's grouchy when they haven't had enough sleep.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like the extension of the theory, though, since it goes like, since coffee is a replacement for sleep, it's a false ethical standard. Because, you know, as soon as the caffeine wears off there's the grouchy again.

I think the extension of the theory should rather be that the lack of caffiene is a moral degenerative and not that caffiene is a false moral standard.

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
I don't think that really follows, though. I mean, I lack caffeine right now, and you don't see me being degenerate. And isn't it when you get too much caffeine that not having any starts being a problem?

From: [identity profile] x-polarisstar.livejournal.com
There is no such thing as too much caffiene. *clutches her Mr. Coffee*

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
Mr. Coffee is only leading you down the path of moral corruption, you know. Sleep is the true way.
