Hi Students!
With the new school year starting this week your RAs (Korvus and myself) would like to invite you all out for dinner one night this weekend (maybe Friday?) to celebrate the beginning of another school year and to officially introduce ourselves to all of you and to see how everyone's first couple days of classes went. Location TBD (it will be somewhere with awesome meat dishes and also awesome vegetarian dishes!)
We'd also like to make this a monthly event if people are interested. We figured it would be a nice way to get everyone together away from the teachers and assignments to talk about how everyone's getting along. Let us know you thoughts!
Regards,
Sharon.

Date: 2012-09-05 08:09 pm (UTC)Hey, I know the city! I lived on the streets there for fifteen years, kitten! (Except that was many years ago and the city always changes and I didn't leave District X much when I lived there for a couple months last year so now that I think about it, you probably do know it better than me now, so okay I will just stop typing this line of thought now...) Navigator Girl, yay! Glad to have you! Thank you thank you for being my navigator!

Date: 2012-09-05 08:26 pm (UTC)You were a street kid since like you were uber tiny and shit? Wow, that sucks.
I solemnly swear to only get you lost on purpose and only because it amuses me but I will keep you out of "the hood" because I know how scary black people can be to some people and I dunno how OG some of these newbies are. (I'm kidding! ...Mostly)

Date: 2012-09-05 08:40 pm (UTC)It wasn't so bad. I thought I was a cat the whole time, I mean I didn't know I was really a human mutant, or how to shift or anything like that, so it wasn't so bad. I didn't know what skritches felt like or pillows or blankets and I didn't know what cooking was or woods or quarries or books or friends so I was never sad about missing any those things. So it wasn't so bad.
Just...umm, okay... how about if you only get us lost on the way home? So at least we all have full stomachs? Getting lost while hungry, that is the worst!

Date: 2012-09-05 09:57 pm (UTC)Oh so you were like a feral kitty, not a street kid? Whoa weird. What was it like being a cat? And, I mean, like just being a cat and not knowing you were human and stuff? Don't outdoor kitties die after like 10 yrs or something?
Spoil all my fun! Okay, okay, only getting lost on the way home.

Date: 2012-09-06 05:59 pm (UTC)It was like... easy. It was so easy. All that feral cats (at least the ones I knew) care about is food and warmth. (And having kittens, but I never even cared about that, I guess because really I had a human brain the whole time and human children don't think about that until they're older.) I think a lot of times they die before that but I don't know if many were older than that so yeah 10 is a good number. But because I'm human I aged like a human. I just didn't know it at the time.
Excellent! Thank you!

Date: 2012-09-06 06:10 pm (UTC)Huh, that's kinda interesting. Like sorta weird but weird for me not weird weird, you know? Okay so like that sentence probably only makes sense in Layla brain but whatever. It's still interesting.

Date: 2012-09-06 06:46 pm (UTC)I think that sort of makes sense to me, because I know things that are weird for me but not weird weird! (When I first learned I was a mutant and tried to live like a human, EVERYTHING was weird for me but not weird weird.)
Weird is a fun word. It doesn't look anything like how you say it!

Date: 2012-09-06 07:11 pm (UTC)Duuude, humans are totally weird weird.
Weird's a weird word? :D it should be like weurd or something, right? I's and E's get all funky when they hang out together. They're like stoners.

Date: 2012-09-06 07:21 pm (UTC)Weurd, yes! And they are veryveryfunky like stoners, yesyes! This is another reason why humans are totally weird weird. At least, the English-speaking ones. The language is very silly! That was probably the worst part about learning how to be human. Grammar and spelling. And names for things when the names do not make sense.

Date: 2012-09-06 07:34 pm (UTC)Or maybe Weerd. Or werd? No, you need the WEEEEE effect so definitely two e's. I totally like German better. They have like less words for shit. We have like 20 words just to say "happy." Like, what the fuck is wrong with just saying "happy"?

Date: 2012-09-06 08:17 pm (UTC)If I was still a cat and had to spell it I think I would spell it weeurd. Definitely two e's, yes! Hmm I don't know German. I should learn it. It sounds like it makes more sense than English. I do not know why we need 20 words to say happy! I asked questions like this a lot when I was learning. I think you're the first person I've known who thinks less words are better!

Date: 2012-09-06 08:38 pm (UTC)I like weeurd. Can that be the new unofficial official spelling? Less words are totally better. Especially when your vocabulary is like challenged like mine. I can teach you German! Okay, I can teach you like some German. I can totally teach you recipes for German food in German because Herr Wuschelig is fucking bad ass like that (translation: Mister Fuzzy, that's right, I'm classy). And German sounds a lot like English so sometimes it's super fucking easy unlike all those letters French people don't actually pronounce. Like, wtf do you need that many vowels for?

Date: 2012-09-06 10:04 pm (UTC)I think we just made a new spelling! Ooo, would you really? That would be great!
no subject
Date: 2012-09-06 10:11 pm (UTC)I totally will. You wanna learn like cakes and desserty sugar rush stuff or like real food? Or did you mean you wanna learn like the easier German that I know?
no subject
Date: 2012-09-06 11:35 pm (UTC)I want to learn... everything! I like learning. It's maybe the best part about being human. Okay no wait that's not true at all. But learning's pretty fun!

Date: 2012-09-06 11:54 pm (UTC)We will start with recipes and I will teach you stuff while we cook so Its not even like work 'cause people remember stuff better when its fun!
